"I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them."
(Isaiah 66:4)

Seeing Is Believing?

Dear Friends,

Greetings. There is an old saying with which you may be familiar with, "I'll believe it when I see it." This is of course contrary to what Jesus admonished Thomas in John, chapter twenty, "Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."

But can we even necessarily believe what we are seeing with our own eyes? No,we cannot, as the video below, "Digital Delusion", helps to point out. Even if we were to see something with our own eyes that is contrary to scripture what would we do? Remember that Jesus warned us in Matthew 24, "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect".

Remember the false prophet has the power to "deceive them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast." (Revelation 13:14) What if, as has been suggested by some, that through modern technology, some of which we may not even be aware of, a false rapture could even be perpetrated upon the masses.

Well, again we look to the scriptures for our guidance. In Matthew 24, Jesus told us when His return would occur, "Immediately after the tribulation of those days...shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven." After, the tribulation, not before the tribulation.

Finally Paul told the Galatians, "Though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."(Galatians 1:8)

If we see anything happening with our own eyes that is not according to God's Word we may be wise to question the authenticity of the event. Remember, we are living in an age of great deceit and delusion. "Because they received not the love of the truth... God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie." (2 Thessalonians 2:10-11)

And finally some good advice from the book of Proverbs, "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad 'under a spell', Ayatollah Ali Khamenei says

The former spiritual mentor to Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has publicly accused his protégé of being "under a spell" as a constitutional crisis engulfs the country.

By Richard Spencer, Middle East Correspondent

15 May 2011

The president has taken the unprecedented step of refusing to obey orders handed down by the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, less than two years after the pair formed a powerful political alliance to defeat anti-regime protests that swept the country.

Regime elements are taking sides, but the president is looking increasingly isolated as the Revolutionary Guard and the clerical establishment swing behind the Supreme Leader. Even Ayatollah Mohammad-Taqi Mesbah-Yazdi, whose apocalyptic vision of Shia Islam Mr Ahmadinejad is thought to follow, has joined in the criticism.

"I've told some of my close friends that I am more than 90 per cent certain that he has been put under a spell," Ayatollah Yazdi told reporters. "This is not natural at all. "No sane person does such things unless his free will has been taken away."

The falling-out of the president and the Supreme Leader, who is supposed to have the final say in all important matters, is the most unexpected development in Iranian politics since the 2009 election and in some ways since the Iranian revolution.

The two men, both conservatives, had together pursued a hard line against the unrest following his re-election and the moderate opposition leaders they accused of being behind it.

But Ayatollah Khamenei is vigorously opposed to Mr Ahmadinejad's closest confidant, Esfandiar Rahim Mashaie. He succeeded in stopping his appointment a vice-president, only to see him made chief of staff instead.

Last month, Mr Ahmadinejad sacked his intelligence minister, Heydar Moslehi, after discovering Mr Mashaie's telephone was being tapped. After refusing at first to obey orders to reinstate him, he then went on an eight-day strike, refusing to turn up to cabinet meetings.

When they resumed, he sacked three more ministers without seeking approval.

The accusation that Mr Mashaie has put the president under a spell is more than rhetorical: friends of Mr Mashaie have already been arrested for sorcery. "I do not know if it is hypnotism, a spell or relations with yogis. But there is something wrong," Ayatollah Yazdi said.

Secret Weather Weapons Can Kill Millions, Warns Top Russian Politician

May 17th, 2011

A top Duma political leader caused shock waves in a recent television interview when he warned that Russia could deploy an arsenal of new technology to "destroy any part of the planet" and kill over a hundred million people using secret weather weapons if the United States, the UN or Georgia tried to stop Russia's entry into the WTO.

Vladimir Zhirinovsky is Vice-Chairman of the Russian State Duma and leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), the first officially sanctioned opposition party after the fall of communism. The LDPR has deep links with the former KGB and Communist Party and has become a significant force in Russian politics, despite Zhirinovsky himself being branded as a militant neo-fascist.

According to a translation provided by a Russian speaker, during the interview Zhirinovsky went off on a bizarre tangent after he was asked how Russia should treat countries like Georgia and the United States who try and block Russia's entry into the World Trade Organization.

Saying that the American government in Washington DC had "no future" and would "collapse," Zhirinovsky cited Russia's supremacy in space and stated that the country had, "Lots of money, resources, and new weapons that no one knows about."

"With them we will destroy any part of the planet within 15 minutes," he sensationally warned.

"Not an explosion, not a ray burst, not some kind of laser, not lightning, but a quiet and peaceful weapon," added Zhirinovsky, warning that "whole continents will be put to sleep forever" and that "120 million will die" if anyone interfered with Russia's claim on the Kuril Islands, which are the subject of a territorial dispute with Japan.

The female presenter of the news program smirked as he made the comments, but Zhirinovsky's manner was far from jovial.

Zhirinovsky made reference to the recent tsunami in Japan, suggesting that the "new weapons" to which he refers are related to weather control technology, which has been intensely studied by both the U.S. and Russia since the 1950′s and is commonly used today.

Threatening to annex Georgia completely, Zhirinovsky warned, "And then there will be another tsunami, on the other side of the planet, in the Caucasus. Zhirinovsky's reference to the Kuril Islands in connection with the devastating tsunami that hit Japan in March is a not so subtle suggestion that Russia had something to do with causing the natural disaster that killed thousands, led to the Fukushima crisis and threatened to derail Japan's economic recovery.

Zhirinovsky also warned of a coming "third world war" emerging from the current turmoil in the Middle East and North Africa that would lead to the collapse of current global institutions like the EU and the WTO and the rise of a new international order led by Russia.

Moscow has routinely employed the weather control technology of "cloud seeding" for decades to ensure sunny skies when military parades are taking place on national holidays, but turning the weather into a devastating weapon to be used in warfare is a frightening new prospect.

However, as the revelations of weather modification expert Ben Livingston, a former Navy Physicist who briefed President Lyndon B. Johnson on the effectiveness of weather control back in the 1960′s during the Vietnam era, have documented, as far back as the early 1950′s the United States was funneling money into programs aimed at using the weather as a weapon during the cold war. It would be naive to think that the Russians weren't engaged in similar research.

Moreover, in an April 1997 speech to the University of Georgia, Athens, then US Secretary of Defense William Cohen spoke of the threat of an "eco-type of terrorism whereby they can alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely through the use of electromagnetic waves."

For many years, suspicions have circulated around the purpose of the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP), an ionospheric research program jointly funded by the US Air Force, the US Navy, the University of Alaska and DARPA. In his underground bestseller Angels Don't Play This HAARP, author Nick Begich summarizes the evidence that suggests HAARP is involved in weather control for nefarious purposes.

Scientists at NASA have discovered "A close link between electrical disturbances on the edge of our atmosphere and impending quakes on the ground below," which has led to claims that earthquakes are being artificially induced as a form of modern warfare by HAARP.

The technology to which Zhirinovsky refers is rapidly moving out of the realms of science fiction and into scientific fact as we progress further into the 21st century.

While Zhirinovsky is a controversial character in Russia with an incendiary personality, he is nonetheless a major political player. Although Zhirinovsky has been dismissed as a "clown" and has made many offbeat comments in the past, it would be naive to dismiss him as being on the fringe.

As well as being Vice-Chairman of the Russian State Duma and leader of the LDPR, Zhirinovsky is a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The deputy Duma speaker has announced his intention to run in the 2012 Russian presidential elections, where he is expected to finish third in the race.

Zhirinovsky's comments have been no less controversial in the past. He once advocated dropping nuclear bombs over the Atlantic Ocean to flood Great Britain.

What are we to make of these remarkable comments? Is Zhirinovsky just a crank, or has he truly spilled the beans on Russia's intention to unleash an arsenal of new weather warfare technology in its bid to dominate the globe? ("He shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.?" Daniel 11:24)

Russian sect believes Putin reincarnation of St. Paul

11/05/2011

- A founder of a religious cult glorifying Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin believes that the powerful premier is the reincarnation of Saint Paul, the Russian tabloid Sobesednik reported on Wednesday.

The sect, founded by one Mother Fotinya, is based in the Bolshaya Elnya village in the central Russian Nizhny Novgorod region.

Fotinya was quoted by the paper as saying that there were certain parallels between the life of former president Putin and St. Paul.

"According to the Bible, Paul the Apostle used to be a warlord and the fierce persecutor of Christians, and then he began preaching the Gospel. Putin also was not a saint during his service in the KGB. But when he became president, the Holy Ghost descended on him," Fotinya was quoted as saying.

The sect possesses a Putin icon that Fotinya claims miraculously appeared one day. Russian Christian sects have long been known for their unusual choices of icons, some of them praying to portraits of such well-known 'holy men' as Stalin and Ivan the Terrible.

Fotinya founded the cult in 2007. Her followers believe she is a powerful healer. Police say she previously spent a year in jail on forgery charges.

The paper said that local officials were aware of the sect's activities, but did not see anything illegal in them. Putin's spokesman said he knew nothing about the group.

Religion was tightly controlled in the U.S.S.R. and the collapse of the Soviet Union saw an explosion in sects and cults, as well as interest in New Age philosophies and beliefs.

One of the most well-known sects in Russia has its base near the southern Siberian town of Abakan, where thousands of people, both Russian and foreign, worship a former provincial traffic policeman, Sergei Torop, as the second coming of Christ.

The pills set to make you WANT to exercise more, quit smoking and stay faithful to your partner

By Brian Clark Howard

9th May 2011

Science fiction writers have often imagined a world where pop pill to cure or curb a range of ills.

But, according to a new book The Compass Of Pleasure, that futuristic world may not be far off.

The book, by Johns Hopkins University neuroscientist David J. Linden, explores the search for drugs that may alter behaviour by working on the brain.

Magic pills: The new book The Compass Of Pleasure suggests new pills may alter our behaviour, blocking addictions and enhancing relationships

These drugs are often called 'psychopharmaceuticals', and they can be used to stop smoking, quit drinking, ward off midnight cravings or even stay faithful to our spouse.

Critics argue that it is dangerous to meddle in human behaviour, which has many nuances and factors that are poorly understood.

There is also the possibility for harmful side effects, as anyone who has seen a pharmaceutical ad on TV might suspect.

Further, could behavior-altering drugs become tools of criminals, or even terrorists.

Liquid Trust: Selling for $30 for a quarter of an ounce, an oxytocin-based spray is said to offer 'the power of trust'

The book's author, Mr Linden, told the New York Post that the emerging field poses several important ethical questions.

He said: 'Do you honestly think that the FDA will approve a drug to keep men from cheating? I don't think so.

'Even if a drug had no side effects, if it was the perfect drug, I don't think society is going there.'

However, Mr Linden misses the fact that the FDA has no jurisdiction over drugs made in other countries, which are already the source of millions of pills routinely smuggled into this country, often through legal mail services via online orders.

While Merck or Eli Lilly might not be marketing No Cheat in the next few years, it could conceivably appear on the black market, fuelled by the anxiety of worried lovers.

When it comes to such a class of compounds, an early entrant to the legal market is a product called Liquid Trust, which is said to be based on the natural hormone oxytocin, sometimes called the 'cuddle hormone'.

Scientists know oxytocin is released after sex and during breast feeding, and it is thought to play a role in bonding between people.

Liquid Trust, which sells for $30 for a quarter of an ounce, is said to offer 'the power of trust', based on a study that found a nasal spray of oxytocin seemed to increase trusting behavior.

Ethical questions: Neuroscientist and author David J. Linden argues that behavior-modifying drugs pose new questions about safety and reasonable use

However, there is a lack of evidence that Liquid Trust will produce the desired effect in the real world, and Mr Linden has expressed skepticism that a room spray could deliver enough concentration of oxytocin to make an impact on behavior.

Other possible psychopharmaceuticals cited by Mr Linden include those that may one day interrupt or re-route the body's natural pleasure processes.

Such pills could therefore help end the cravings that lead to negative behaviors like smoking, drinking too much alcohol, taking illegal drugs or even over eating.

Mr Linden points to the current drug Naltrexone, which is thought to block the brain's opiod receptors for drugs like heroin and alcohol.

In other words, after taking Naltrexone, a user no longer feels the effect of the heroin or alcohol.

Could other future pharmaceuticals have even more significant effects on behaviors?

It's hard to say, but current research suggests the possibilities are substantial.

If you have not already received Jesus as you Lord and Saviour, be sure you do so that you can say with Job, "If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come." (Job 14:14) Paul also wrote of this change, "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." (1 Corinthians 15:52)

Just talk to Jesus and tell Him, "Dear Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God who died to take away my sins so that I can live with you forever. I ask you to please forgive me my sins, give me eternal life and help me to live for you and others, amen."

If you have received Jesus as your Saviour, here is an encouraging verse about what is awaiting you. "As it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." (1 Corinthians 2:9)
